Short answer: yes, Salsomaggiore Terme is easy to reach by train. Get off at Fidenza, on the Milan-Bologna line, and take the local connection to Salsomaggiore Terme, which takes a few minutes. Salsomaggiore station is 750 metres from Hotel Villa Fiorita, a 10-minute walk, and once in town you do not need a car: spas, centre and park are all on foot.
The route: Milan, Bologna, Parma and Piacenza
- From Milan: regional and high-speed trains to Fidenza, then the connection to Salsomaggiore. About an hour and a half in total.
- From Bologna: same line in the opposite direction, changing at Fidenza.
- From Parma: Fidenza is a few minutes away by regional train; from there the local train to Salsomaggiore. About 40 minutes overall.
- From Piacenza: regional train to Fidenza and change.
The Fidenza-Salsomaggiore stretch is a short local line: check the timetable in advance, especially in the evening and on public holidays. Alternatively, a taxi from Fidenza covers the 10 km in a quarter of an hour.
From Salsomaggiore station to the hotel
Leaving the station, Hotel Villa Fiorita at Via Milano 2 is 750 metres away: a ten-minute flat walk towards the centre and Viale Romagnosi. With heavy luggage there is a taxi. If you fly, Parma airport is 30 km away, Milan Linate and Bologna about an hour and a half.

The centre is compact and everything is reachable without transport. From the hotel:
